God morning from The Garden!

Well, we weathered another storm.  This one took me completely by surprise–you know, the little print that says light showers with a chance of thunderstorms.  Some may be severe with high winds and large hail.  You never really think the small print matters.  Well, it does.  It was rough early this morning.

But whether we are ready or not, the storms come.  Some are predicted; some are a surprise; and some are rougher than we expect, but yet, they come.

The Sea of Galilee was known for the sudden storms that came up quickly and became very fierce.

Jesus was in the boat with His disciples when a storm blew up.  He was sleeping peacefully in the boat, but the disciples were intensely afraid of the storm.

He simply told them, “Have faith; I have got this;  Trust me.”  Maybe not in these exact words but, I know this is what He meant.

And He said unto them, ‘Why are you so afraid, O ye, of little faith?’  Then He arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.”  Matthew 8:23.

If Jesus can calm the storm on the Sea of Galilee, He can certainly handle the storms that come into our lives.  We just have faith and trust in His care.

Have a blessed day!
