Good morning from The Garden!

Do you feel as if you can’t do enough good?  Does your conscience seem to weigh heavy on you making you feel unworthy?  This feeling can keep you unsteady as a Christian.  It can make you want to just give up because you can never measure up! I know because I can have this stress daily if I allow the doubt to creep in.

Well, God’s Word has an answer for us that will give us encouragement for our daily walk in Christ.

Dear Children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.  This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in His presence whenever our hearts condemn us.  For God is greater than our hearts, and He knows everything.”  1 John 3:18-20.

I’ve always heard the expression that “the road to hell is paved with good intentions.”  This verse proves that theory wrong. God knows our hearts.  He knows our thoughts. He knows our intentions, and he sets our hearts at rest when our hearts( conscience) condemn us.

We can actually accomplish more for God and His work when we do not worry about what we don’t do.  So, let’s lighten up our hearts and follow the path that God lays before us–working together to show others His love and His strength and His grace everyday.

Have a blessed day!                                                                                                              In Christian love,
Diane
