Storms come up very quickly and fierce on the Sea of Galilee, even today.
In Luke 8:22-25 we read of one of these storms.
The disciples became frightened even though they were expert fishermen and they had Jesus in the boat with them.
Jesus simply stood up and calmed the sea. “He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm.” Luke 8:24.
If Jesus can calm the sea, he can calm the storms of life that you encounter.
When you become afraid and feel panicky that you cannot control the situation, Jesus says to you as He did to His disciples, “Where is your faith?” Verse 25.
Jesus does not always choose to keep the storms from coming, but He never fails to be in the boat with those who trust in Him.
If He is in your boat, He will calm your storm.
