As I watch the horror that is occurring in Kabul, Afghanistan at this time, I am made more aware of the evil that is in the world around us. It would seem so simple to me for people to get along and live in peace. That is just not the way it is. We pray for protection for those who are in harm’s way–for our servicemen, our missionaries, our citizens, and the people of Afghanistan who want to live in peace.
Today we pray the same prayer of deliverance that David prayed: “Deliver me from my enemies, O God; protect me from those who rise up against me…..” Psalm 59:1
Please, dear Lord, send your angels to watch over these people.
