Good morning from The Garden!

In Colossians you will find that God wants you to dig a big hole.——“Since you have been raised with Christ, set you hearts on things above…….Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature…..” Colossians 3:1.

The scripture then states the “whatever” we are to shovel out  …. sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, greed, anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.

As we rid ourselves from all these, we leave a big hole that will just fill in again with the same dirt, if we don’t replace it with something else.

So, the Word of God continues:  “…..clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.  Bear with one another and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another.  Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”  Colossians 3:13.

And then …….”Over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect harmony.”

We then sift all things through Christ as we fill the hole back up.

“Whatever you do in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”  Colossians 3:17.

Now you have a smooth finish that can make God proud.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
