Good morning from The Garden!

In Job 37 we find a beautiful passage reminding us that God is in control. So often we speak for God (as Job’s friends did) or we take Him for granted, or we interpret His silence to mean that He is unconcerned or indifferent.

In this passage Elihu speaks and reveals to Job the majesty of God. “Bear with me a little longer and I will show you that there is more to be said on God’s behalf.”  Job 37:1.

God cares and He speaks to us, but we must be ready to hear His message through the Bible, through life experiences, or through relationships or circumstances.

We have often heard the expression, “Take time to smell the roses.” This is merely a paraphrase of Job 37:14: Stop and consider God’s wonders.”

God’s power and presence are awesome.  We must pause and give Him His time so that when He speaks, we listen.  When we listen, we can follow.  When we follow, we find confidence in the peace that only God can give.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
