When the people of Israel refused to follow God’s command, God allowed them time in the desert. He vowed that none of the ones who were unfaithful would see the promised land. This may seem harsh to us as we read this Bible passage about the plight of the Israelite people, but it parallels our journey in America today.
Are we so blind that we can’t realize that God can lift his blessings from our country and leave us wandering in the desert?
I stumbled on this scripture this morning: “And here you are, a brood of sinners, standing in the place of your fathers and making God even more angry with Israel. If you turn away from following Him, He will again leave all His people in the desert, and you will be the cause of their destruction.” Numbers 32:14-15.
Each generation has a responsibility to the next, and I fear we are not leading our nation in the direction it should go—-One nation under God.—–The next generation will suffer.
We need urgent prayer for our nation.
I repeat the words of the Rev. Franklin Graham: “Pray that we turn back to the Christian values this nation was founded upon.”
If we do not, we will see the destruction of this great nation once richly blessed by God.
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for His inheritance. From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind.” Psalm 33:12.
Without God’s moral compass, we can never be One Nation Under God. We will be a people wandering in the desert.
Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
