Sometimes I pick up a bottle of vanilla extract and find the words “imitation flavoring.” It looks like the real thing, tastes like the real thing, functions as the real thing, but it is not made from the original source. It is not the REAL DEAL! I put it back and choose the bottle that reads: Pure Vanilla Extract.
If you had a label printed on your heart, would it read “100% pure product–source, Jesus Christ, the Son of God.”
“Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.” 1 Peter 3:8.
There is no imitation when it comes to true Christian compassion. We love others because He first loved us.
“Blessed are the PURE in heart for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8.
