Good morning from The Garden!

I’m in a yoga class to help my old muscles stretch out to keep working.  I am trying to be faithful to this, not because my daughter-in-law is my instructor (and a very good one I might add) but because I know it is good for me. And my son is always telling me, “Make sure you get your cardio…”  That is also important.  But here is an eye-opening statement straight from God’s Word:

“A heart at peace gives life to the body-—” Proverbs 14:30a.

There is a direct connection between a heart at peace and a healthy body.

The peace that God gives brings us life, comfort, energy, and lasting joy.

When it is absent, our spiritual bodies can be destroyed by all that the world throws at us and expects us to take in.

Fear, uncertainty, doubt, envy, greed, and other forces often are at war within the Christian heart.

That healthy balance between the the physical and the spiritual gives to us the healthy heart that brings us comfort and strength.

Jesus offers us peace that is beyond this world: “My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27.

His heart-healthy peace is offered; we just need to embrace it.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
