Good morning from The Garden!

I love the forgiveness and grace that Jesus gave to the Samaritan Woman at the well. This incident officially made Jesus’ ministry public.  It brings to mind many blessings, but the one I’m thinking of today is “the asking.”

Jesus answered her, ‘If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, YOU WOULD HAVE ASKED HIM and HE WOULD HAVE GIVEN you living water.’ ” John 4:10.

I read a story once that tells about a man who entered heaven. The Lord took Him to a room filled with presents from ceiling to floor. The man was struck with awe and wonder at the multitude of gifts. The Lord looked at him and lovingly remarked, “You see all these gifts? These were your blessings that I waited to give you, but you never asked.”

Jesus wanted to give the woman at the well living water; all she had to do was recognize Him and seek His blessing. Jesus is waiting to bless you, but you have to acknowledge Him as all-loving and all-powerful, trust Him enough to ask and embrace the faith to accept His answer.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
