Good morning from The Garden!

As I was driving the other day going to a restaurant.  I was comfortable breezing along in traffic because I knew where I was going. Then I reached one of those new creations called a round-a-bout.  I still knew where I was going, but suddenly, I listened to the GPS who tells me to take the third turn to the right.  Whaaaaat!   Which one is the third?  Do I stop and let this other go by?  Is that car going to hit me if I keep going?  All these questions popped into my head in a matter of seconds.  But I just ignored the voice and kept going on the road that I knew I should take.  Then the GPS told me to make a U-Turn. That’s where I made a huge mistake.  I listened to the VOICE.

I knew my destination!

I knew the correct road!

I knew I was going the right direction!

I knew all this and yet I listened to the VOICE.  I made a U-Turn in traffic and went the other direction.  Suddenly, I was lost.

This is the way our Christian life can be.  We know all the right things to do because God plants them in our hearts.  But we sometimes we let other voices (influences, prejudices, pride, selfishness, prominence…….) speak to us and drown out God’s Voice.

HIS VOICE is the only voice we should let guide us.  When other voices try to turn us away from Him, we will suddenly see ourselves  getting farther away from God.

———-We know our destination!  “the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life

———-We know the right road!  “Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father but by me.’ “

———–We know the correct direction!  “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the grave, you will be saved.

When we are sure of God’s plan, we need to stay on the right road and go directly to our destination.

As we listen to the voice of God, we never lose our way.

There is only one U-Turn for ourselves and for our nation:

“If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn (make a U-Turn and go the other direction) from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land.”  2 Chronicles 7:14.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
