Good morning from The Garden!

A few days ago in yoga class I picked up a small pamphlet that read “Yoga for Dummies.”

I also have a pamphlet at home that came with my I-phone that states “I-Phone for dummies.”  I’m sure each of you  have seen similar pamphlets.  Each time you buy something new or learn something new, you are probably very glad that you can use them as a guideline.

Sooooo don’t get mad at me when I say this: There is a scripture that I might label as “New Life for dummies” —–simple and direct.

In Colossians 3:10-14 we learn that as a Christian we have a new life—“You are living a brand new kind of life…” verse 10.

This new life comes with a quick reference pamphlet:

“...because of God’s deep love for you, you should practice tenderhearted mercy and kindness toward others. …Be gentle and ready to forgive; never hold grudges. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others….Let love be your guide.” Colossians 3:12-14.

When you remember how much the Lord loves you, it becomes easy to love; when you remember how much kindness the Lord has shown you, then it is easy to be kind; when you grasp how the Lord has forgiven you, it should be easy to forgive others.

Love, kindness, and forgiveness, wrapped up in God’s grace, is a quick reference that you can memorize and follow.

This new life may not be easy, but it is simple if you follow the guidelines.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
