Just as a large anchor, imbedded deep in the ocean floor can hold a ship in place, our faith and hope in Christ Jesus keeps us grounded.
Although the ship sways and moves with the waves, it cannot go too far away from where the anchor holds.
“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” Hebrews 6:19.
In the words of the beautiful hymn:
“The anchor holds though the ship is battered. The anchor holds though the sails are torn. I have fallen on my knees when I face the raging seas, but The anchor holds in spite of the storm.”
We are never so far away that God can’t bring us back to Him.
Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
