Good morning from The Garden!

I was visiting my daughter this week-end and there was  a storm that knocked out the power to the entire neighborhood.  When we drove up to the house, it was serious dark.  I looked in my car and retrieved a flashlight.  This one light illuminated the entire down stairs of the house.  I can’t tell you how many lights are usually on for us to be able to see, yet we needed only this one light.

I think of this because “light” has been on my mind this past week more than ever.

We just finished VBS where the theme was “Shine Jesus Light.”  Then our pastor spoke on Matthew 5:14.  “You are the light of the world…….let your light shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify the Father in Heaven…”

Just as the flashlight was enough for us to see our way in a dark house, the light of Jesus is enough for others to find their way in a dark world.  It is up to us to shine that light for all to see.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
