There is so much negative news in today’s world. The “bad” seems to jump out at us at every angle.
The good that is in our world seldom makes the headlines, but it is all around us. People reach out and help others every minute of every day.
This summer has been filled with reports of young people attending youth camps and accompanying other youths and adults on missions trips to places that are not familiar to them.
When you can’t go as part of these efforts, you can pray for those who can and you can help financially send others.
We see needs all around us that can be met through our love and concern for others.
Jesus tells us that as we show compassion and love and care to others, we are showing our love for Him.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you took me in; I needed clothes and you clothed me; I was sick and you looked after me; I was in prison and you visited me.” Matthew 25:35.
—When, when, Lord, did I do this for you?—-
“I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine. you did it unto me.” Matthew 25:40. NIV.
May we go forth and serve others in His name.
Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
