Good morning from The Garden!

It is important to have a special prayer time–

–a time to mention the names of those that need to be lifted up,
–a time to reflect on our situation and our needs,
–a time to be thankful for the blessings we have received,
–a time to pray for the miracle that only God can give,
–a time to listen to the voice of God as He speaks to our hearts and directs our paths.

“Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17.

We all live very busy lives and obviously cannot devote the entire day to praying. So how does “pray without ceasing” fit into our hectic schedule?

This simply means to be in an attitude of prayer throughout the day, not just at prayer time. We don’t have to lock ourselves away to talk with God (although this is needed.)

Prayer is conversation with God. That involves, not only telling Him our needs, but also listening to His voice.

We make better decisions in all things throughout the day if we sense His presence “without ceasing.”

Prayer time, coupled with the study of God’s Word, will strengthen us as Christians, as well as influence the lives of others.

Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.” Psalm 4:1.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
