“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6.
Trust is not a passive word. Trust does not mean lazily basting in the sun while the world around you falls apart. Trust is active. It means doing something daily that reflects God’s light and brings you closer to Him.
The rest of this passage is often overlooked: “Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.” v. 7.
We so often think that something is good for us when it is taking us away from the very God who we claim to trust. Evil wants to win your heart; the world wants to earn your trust. This is why your TRUST in GOD must be an active part of your life, always ready to fight the battle that is before you. With God at your side and in your heart, the victory is always yours.
Have a blessed day!
