Good morning from The Garden!

Seek me and live; do not seek Bethel; do not go to Gilgal;do not journey to Beersehba, for Gilgal will surely go into exile, and Bethel will be reduced to nothing.  SEEK THE LORD AND LIVE.”  Amos 5:4-5

This passage may seem strange to us, but there is a very real message for us today.  Bethel and Gilgal and Beersheba were cities or places of worship, Gilgal of the 12 stones  was a shrine to the Hebrew people.  It marked the spot where Joshua camped before crossing the Jordan River.  It was a sacred place. But God was telling His people, ‘the place is not sacred—-I AM.’

No place or shrine can replace true faith in the One and Only God or our Salvation.  Only daily living for Him can prove our faith.

The Lord says, ‘These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.’ ”  Isaiah 29:13.

God doesn’t want us just to serve church, He want us to serve Him.

God doesn’t want us just to speak about Him, He want us to live for Him.

God doesn’t want our mouths, He want our hearts.

Seek the Lord and Live.”

Have a blessed day!
