Good morning from The Garden!

I was listening to a Bible teacher on You Tube yesterday and he mentioned the hurricane that swept through Florida and other eastern states.  I have to admit that I wasn’t aware of the effect it had on these areas because it did not directly affect me.  I hate to admit that to each of you, but it is true.  I listened as he talked about the water surge and the damage it did to his church.  There was not much wind but the water flooded their main sanctuary and other buildings on the property.

I am telling this because something he said really touched me.  He paid tribute to a group of people from another state that swooped in and started the clean-up. He called them “angels” and this made me realize that we can all be “angels.”  I like to think that angels do the work of God.  Isn’t that what we are all asked to do every day—–think of others and act on it?

When Jesus healed the leper the scripture tells us:  “Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out and touched the man………”  He saw and He responded.  Jesus saw the man’s heart and not his condition.

We are to do the same.  When God lays on our hearts to help others, we are to act quickly with compassion.  We are God’s angels doing His work while we are here on earth.

Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means.”  2 Corinthians:11.

Whatever we do for others, we do for HIM.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
