Good morning from The Garden!

Hurry up, God!  This may be your prayer at times.

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:8.

Peter is explaining how Christians should live in difficult times. God may have seemed slow to the believers in the early church as they faced persecution and longed to be delivered.  God may have seemed slow to the people of Israel when they were in the wilderness waiting to enter the Promised Land.

But God is not slow; He is just not on our timetable.

His plan is to come again, and He desires for all to be a part of His perfect world.

We are to be ready to meet Christ at any moment, yet are to plan our course of service as though we will serve Him for many years—-may we not grow weary in our service to God.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
