Good morning from The Garden!

What would a morning in the life of God be like?  Well, let me give you a tiny example:

Many of us gathered one Friday to watch a pep rally before the big game at our local school.  As I sat down, a rain sprinkle began.  Someone next to me said, “I hope it doesn’t rain..”  (Now we had been praying for rain daily because had not had rain in our community in almost three months.) 

Then the rain stops and the sun comes out bright and warm.  Someone then says, “I am so hot, I don’t know if I can sit in this stadium.”

Then suddenly a cool the breeze begins to blow.  Someone says, “This wind is messing up my hair, I wish it would die down.”  Someone else says, “I wish I had brought my  jacket; I am cold.”  The wind stops and the sun comes out again.

This scene lasted only 20 min. and there were many different opinions of what the weather should be.  I think of this as I realize that God will never please everyone. He doesn’t try to please us when we see only our wants or out own comforts.   He is God and He knows what we need.  Our main objective should be to contentment in all things through Christ who is above all and ruler of all.

Godliness with contentment is a gain,” 1 Timothy 6:6.

I guess the Apostle Paul says it best:  “I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.  I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty.  I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.  I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:11-13.

This statement is the key to spiritual growth and personal fulfillment. Honor God and center your desires on Him and be content with what God is doing in your life.
