Good morning from The Garden!

Why is it that we always believe that we can do things on our on? I hate to admit it, but I am getting older, and every day I discover things that I should not try on my own.  My children are quick to remind me, and I, reluctantly, accept their help when my mind tells me that I can do it myself.

Even little children rebel when we try to help them. “No, I do it myself!” we can hear them insist.

When we are strong in our own abilities, we are tempted to leave God out of the picture.

When we are weak because of circumstances, and we allow God to fill us with His power, then we are stronger than we could ever be on our own.

God does not intend for us to be passive, or weak, or ineffective. But He does expect us to know our weaknesses and to recognize His strength.

Life provides setbacks and obstacles, and when these obstacles come along, we must depend on God.  The best way to face difficulties is to always depend on God in the good times.  This prepares us for the bad times.

Only His power can provide us with lasting strength to carry on through each day.

“....FOR WHEN I AM WEAK, THEN I AM STRONG.” 2 Corinthians 12:10.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
