Good morning from The Garden!

Last night I sat and listened to our new generation of Christians.  The young people who had gone to Christian summer camp and who realized that God can be the center of their lives.  Each one that spoke mentioned that they knew temptations would be waiting on them as they returned home, but that God was bigger than any temptation.  Many of them re-committed themselves to Christ and are excited for the road that is ahead.  My heart is so full to watch Christ work in the lives of the young.

The following scripture reminds us that all life is not easy and many times it will not go our way, but the last words say it all:
Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, YET I WILL REJOICE IN THE LORD, I WILL BE JOYFUL IN GOD MY SAVIOR.” Habakkuk 3:17-18.

Habakkuk knew that even in the hardest times, he would rejoice in God the Savior. His feelings and commitment were not determined by the events around him, but by his faith in the One who can truly save.

When absolutely nothing makes sense, and your troubles seem more than you can bear, take your eyes off of your difficulties and look to God. Remember that God gives strength and courage and that nothing can separate you from His love.

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39.

Follow the examples of these young people and renew your faith and embrace the love of Christ in your life. NOTHING CAN SEPARATE YOU FROM HIS LOVE.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
