I wanted to buy some vanilla extract. As I looked on the shelf, I saw only Imitation Vanilla Flavoring. I wanted the real stuff. It seems it is getting harder and harder to find the real deal. I have noticed many packages say “compared to” or “equal to” something else. The generic is suddenly completely acceptable in almost anything. What happened to the original?
Imitation is never okay in God’s eyes. He wants you to be the real deal in your dealings with others. True compassion and Christian love have no substitutes.
“Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32.
Imitation love is no love at all! Be the real deal!
