Prayer update

October 13, 2024

Update— All went well.  Thank you for your prayers.—–Steve Collins is scheduled to have a heart cath on Monday and a procedure to correct     A-Fib. Please pray for Steve during and after these procedures. 

Also keep Lydia in your prayers. She has been fighting cancer and hopes to cancer free when she has her PET scan soon. 

Stephen Collins was deployed to Afghanistan today and will be away from his family for at least 9 months. He has a wife and young son and his wife is expecting a baby girl. Pray that God will keep Stephen safe and will watch over his family. 

October 10, 2024

Pray for my niece Suzanne Butler who is having a double mastectomy today.  Pray that this surgery will be successful and pray that her recovery period will be without complications.—-Sharron G.

Pray for the many people who are suffering the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.  Massive flooding and wind damage has destroyed many communities.  Keep praying for these,  for many days of recovery are ahead.–Diane

Please pray for the family of Robert Butler, the younger brother of Sharon Grissom and Dusty Butler.  He had massive heart attack and passed away suddenly yesterday.  Sharon and Dusty are traveling to his home in Arkansas so please pray for safety in travel and for them as they make arrangements for their brother.  Pray for the rest of his family now and in the days ahead.—-Diane

Update—–Good news!–Lyndsay’s margins are clear and lymph nodes are clear.  She will go for checkup every 3 months.  We thank you for your prayers.—–Lyndsay got her report back and it is melanoma stage 1.  She will need to go back to MD to have more removed since margins were not free.  Please continue to pray.——I’m asking for prayers for my daughter Lyndsay. She has been diagnosed with melanoma on back of shoulder.–Thanks —-Laura K. W.

Praise news for now—Thelma ‘s cancer is not in the spine.  She is taking chemo pills and returns to MD Anderson. for check ups every three weeks. Pray these treatments work.——-Please pray for Thelma. Her cancer is back and on in her brain and possibly in her spine.  We will go back this week to MD Anderson for testing to determine treatment plan.  Pray that treatment will be successful and pray for her comfort and healing.——–Billy Cox

Beth starts round 2 of chemo today. Will be getting an infusion. Pray that she is able to tolerate this and it shrinks the tumor. Thank y’all————Update on Beth Cox—–Beth’s biopsy on breast was cancer but on a good note it is hormone receptive. So she has started hormone treatment for the breast along with her chemo and radiation on rectal cancer.  Please keep praying.—-Laura Kate C.

We have four cousins who recently were diagnosed with cancer. Please keep Teresa Butler Gunner, Tallulah, (has breast cancer)(having treatments); Dorothy Hale Madden, Delhi, brain tumor, scheduled for surgery this month, Eddie Antley, brain tumor, Delhi; and Renae Maxwell Eaton, Delhi, lung cancer, recent surgery. Waiting on treatment plan. All of my cousins are fierce warriors with good, spiritual outlooks. Thank you.– Sandra Laughman
