“Pray all the time. Ask God for anything in line with the Holy Spirit’s wishes. Plead with him, reminding him of your needs, and keep praying earnestly for all Christians everywhere.” Ephesians 6:18 Living Bible.
Jesus spoke these words as He entered the Garden of Gethsemane:
“Keep alert and pray. Otherwise temptation will overpower you. For the spirit indeed is willing, but the body is weak.” Matthew 26:41
He was speaking to His inner group of disciples , but the message is for all of us to hear. It simply means that prayer keeps us walking close to God.
The closer we are to our Heavenly Father, the easier it is to resist those temptations to do that which is NOT pleasing in His sight.
“….Pray without ceasing!”
