Good morning from The Garden!

My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken me” Matthew 27:46

Jesus felt the rejection of God when He took our sins upon Himself. By bearing our sins, He alienated Himself from God because God cannot look upon sin. At that moment Jesus became sin and felt the pain of separation from God. We feel this same separation from God when we allow sin to control our lives.

Christ loves you and never wants you to experience this loss, so claim His love and do not let sin in your life separate you from a loving Father.

Today is Good Friday.  It is good because of what Jesus did for all mankind.  When He took our sins to the cross, He then chose to die and take those sins with Him. His time on earth was over.

“It is finished” John 19:30

He did not say, “I am finished.” He knew He had successfully completed the task for which He had come. He had paid in full the debt for our sins. God’s redemptive plan was made complete. The grace of God was complete. “It is finished” yet only the beginning.

Jesus chose when He would die. “Father into Thy hands I commend my spirit.” Luke 23:46.  He released Himself into the arms of God. In God’s timing all things are made right.

Let us remember these words from the cross as we reflect on the love of Christ in our lives. During this Easter season and every day we must continue to fulfill the mission He has for us.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
