When something is handmade, it must be very special. The time, the patience, the caring that goes into the item makes it “one of a kind.”
Well, you are handmade—in the image of God!
“God said, ‘Let us make man in our own image.'” Genesis 1:26a.
In God’s image means that you are more than just flesh and bones. You are a person of value with reasoning ability, emotions, moral awareness, and spirituality. You have a soul that longs to live eternally with your creator.
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made—all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Psalm 139:13-16.
He knew you “when.” He knows you “now.” He has a plan for you to serve Him all your days.
“I am fearfully and wonderfully made……”
The world tries to tell you that you are not good enough—maybe you feel you need to better at one thing or another. Everyone is unique. I heard Billy Graham make this statement and it stuck with me: “God does not choose the qualified; He qualifies the chosen….”
This simply means that God is on your side helping you do what He needs you to do.
Life is a gift from God. How you spend this life is your gift to Him.
Have blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
