Good morning from The Garden!

Today I choose FAITHFULNESS.

“But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, FAITHFULNESS, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22.——

Paul counseled Timothy that in being FAITHFUL to God’s Word he would face opposition, but encouraged him that his FAITHFULNESS would be all that mattered.

To make his point to Timothy and to each of us today, Paul used a comparison of soldiers, athletes, and farmers who must discipline themselves in their FAITHFULNESS and be willing to sacrifice to achieve the results they want.

Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus….Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus…..Similarly, if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not receive the victor’s crown unless he competes according to the rules. The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops…the Lord will give you insight into all of this….” 2 Timothy 2:1-7.

Like soldiers we give up worldly security and endure intense discipline.
Like athletes we must train hard and follow the rules.
Like farmers we must work hard and be patient.

Our FAITHFULNESS is steady. It is strong and sure. We are FAITHFUL because of the thought of victory, the vision of winning, and the hope of the harvest.

Have blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
