Most of us will never forget the “Miracle on the Hudson.” After viewing a safe landing on the water for US Airways 1549, we watched as the passengers lined up on the wings of the plane waiting for rescue.
I noticed something about these passengers. They all reached out their hands to the one who could rescue them. Not one of them told the rescuers “No thank you. I can do this my own way. I will just swim on my own to safety.”
Can you imagine turning down a chance to be saved, a chance to have eternal life? All one has to do is reach out and accept what is already there.
“And this is the testimony; God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:11-12.
The Miracle of all miracles is ours to claim. Reach out and accept the rescue.
Have blessed day!
