Good morning from The Garden!

Charlie Kirk wore many hats in his short life. He loved God; he loved his family, he loved his country, and he loved young people.  When I heard the news of his assassination yesterday, I felt a great personal loss.  Not because I knew him, but because I listened to him on a daily basis.  I watched and listened as he debated others who had opposing views with a brilliant mind and a kind heart. In his optimism, Charlie Kirk rallied young people from colleges across America.  He was an avid Christian who used his ability and “microphone” to influence a new generation of Americans to love the American ideals that are based on God’s Word and the vision of our forefathers.

Charlie Kirk was not ashamed of who he was and what he believed.

He lived this scripture:

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes; the Jew first and also for the Gentile.  For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: The righteous will live by faith.“”

Charlie Kirk was a Christian, a husband, a father, a friend, a crusader, an evangelist, a missionary, a true American. who openly debated the principles that we all support.

I pray for his family, and I pray that his legacy will live on in the lives of the young people who love as he loved.  I pray the love we feel as Christians will drown the hate that is trying to destroy our nation today.  We will not be silenced.

We also pray for our nation as we remember 9/11/01 and the families that lost loved ones on that day.  May God protect our great nation and bless those who stand up for what is right in His Name.

Have blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
