Good morning from The Garden!

The gravel road leading to my house requires constant maintenance.  The road grader travels up and down after each rain to smooth out the ruts and make it easier to travel.  Sometimes holes have to be filled, and ditches have to be cleaned out.  My point is obvious.  If not maintained regularly, the road could not accomplish its purpose—getting me (and others) to my home.

Any road that is traveled must be maintained. This scenario makes me think of life as a Christian.

You are created by God twice. The Psalmist expressed the first creation: “You created my inmost being; you knit me together, in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Psalm 139:13.

Your second creation is through Christ Jesus.

. “For we are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”  Ephesians 2:10.

When you embrace His grace and believe in your heart that He is the Son of God and that He can save you from your sins, you are then “born again” and begin your road to eternity.  Notice this:  —– created to do good words, not created by good works.

You are here for a purpose, just as the road leading to my house serves a purpose. God will never hang a sign on you that reads: “Maintenance ends.” He will be with you all the way, repairing the holes that come into your life so that your path will be easier.

I’ve often heard the expression, “If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.”  If you are walking hand in hand with God before the difficult time, you can keep walking with Him through it– side by side.

What God creates, He will maintain.

Have blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
