Good morning from The Garden!

A construction crew had started a new building project. While digging, the workers found a power cable in the path of their work. They stopped working and called an electrician who came and looked at the cable. He then assured them that the cable was dead and urged them to “Go ahead and cut it out of the way.”

Are you sure there is no danger?” asked the foreman.

Absolutely,” replied the electrician.

Then the foreman said, “Here, you cut it for us!”

The electrician hesitated for a brief moment and then replied, “I’m not that sure.

We don’t have to hesitate. We have the assurance of a Savior who will always love us and forgive us. We have the assurance that our faith in Christ will eternally connect us to God’s heavenly kingdom. His Holy Word tells us that we can be sure of eternal life with our Heavenly Father.

“I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.”  1 John 5:13.

So go ahead and cut everything out of the way that prevents you from totally trusting in the love of God through Christ Jesus.

Let us approach with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who has promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:22-23.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
