Good morning from The Garden!

Glorify the Lord with me; Let us exalt His Name together.” Psalm 34:3.

i have worshipped in the same church for 80 years. ( started out in the nursery, of course.)

The church is not a building. It is a body of believers worshipping together, praying together, singing together, learning together, and growing together.

I remember Sunday School, Training Union, G.A.’s, children’s choir, adult choir, and Vacation Bible School. All these activities were lead by saintly adults who cared enough to give their time to me and others. Now I am sure these adults were not saints, and they certainly were not perfect, but I thought they were. They laughed with me and cried with me; they taught me to the best of their ability. My Sunday School teacher (we called her Aunt Susie) had us over for “pallet parties.” —where we had wonderful fun and made wonderful memories.

I’m a little nostalgic this morning, but I just want others to know that having a church family is important–no, it is necessary. The scriptures teach us that we are “never to forsake the assembling together.” So wherever you are, find a church home and make memories.  It will brighten your journey and strengthen your faith.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
