Good morning from The Garden!

“I applied my heart to what I observed and learned a lesson from what I saw.” Proverbs 24:32.

I certainly learned a lesson on Saturday.  My wallet was stolen from my purse.  Yes, I had left my purse in a place that definitely tempted the “thief.”  You know the routine—-cancel credit cards, get a duplicate driver’s license, Medicare and insurance card. etc.  I did the whole routine, and then I got a surprise in the mail.  An express package containing my wallet, minus all the cash that was in it.  Everything else was still there. Someone found it and put it in the public drop box and the postal service mailed it to me. (What a wonderful idea!)  Notice the two different hearts and attitudes illustrated in my story.

Life is full of lessons. If only we could apply our heart and learn from them as this scripture states.  I learned that there are honest people who do the right thing at the right time, and dishonest ones who do the wrong thing at any time.  But mainly I learned to keep my purse close——-

If we apply our hearts to what we see, we will be a little bit smarter.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
