Hello from The Garden!

When my older sister and I had an extra nickel, we would walk to the store and spend it on a candy bar. I would always get the wonderfully delicious chocolate bar. I would eat it quickly and by the time I arrived back home, mine would be nothing but wrapper. My sister would always choose the “all day” sucker. You know, the one that allows you to savor the flavor of chocolate for hours.

My candy was enjoyable for a moment and then gone. I watched as my sister enjoyed her candy for a very long time. Watching her, always made me wish I had saved my candy until later.

Even as I remember this scene from childhood, I must also remember that eventually her candy was gone, too. As the saying goes: Nothing lasts forever!

Well, something does last forever.
For the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.” Psalm 100:5.
We never have to worry about saving God’s promises so they will last longer. As we claim them and enjoy them, He gives us more.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
