Good morning from The Garden!

Do you know what usually happens to a swimming pool when you drain the water from it? The sides will collapse if there is nothing inside to keep them from caving in.

When you resist a temptation or try to overcome a sinful habit, you find yourself empty and therefore you will be like the swimming pool–ready to collapse, or at least quick to return to the old habit.

Once you flee from temptation, you must then replace this void with a positive action.

“FLEE from the evil desires(negative) of youth, and PURSUE righteousness, faith, love and peace(positive).…” 2 Timothy 2:22.

We know that Joseph fled temptation, but he was found guilty anyway(without courtroom trial, I might add) and sent to prison. While in prison he took positive action, and God blessed him for his faith and courage.

“….Joseph was put in charge of all those held in the prison…..”Genesis 39:22.

No matter what Joseph faced, he remained loyal to God and His teachings.

God is able to use you for his purpose only if you remain faithful in all things.

Have a Blessed Day!

In Christian love,

Diane
