Good morning from The Garden!

I was so proud of myself for spreading the bird seed in my yard.  All evening I enjoyed beautiful red cardinals and some tiny birds as they fed on the seed.

This morning as I watched the sun rise, I looked out and thought someone was re-creating a scene from the old Alfred Hitchcock movie “The Birds.”  Many of you may not have seen this movie, but in my day, it was a horror show and memorable.

The black birds had swooped down and mixed with my songbirds in a massive way.  I tried to drive them off, but to do so chased away the birds that I wanted to be there.

So together these birds are taking advantage of the blessings before them.

We cannot keep ourselves completely separate from the world around us.  We know that troubles and temptations come to us daily.  But we are assured that the reward comes from the Father and He provides for our needs.

“I have told you these things so that you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart!  I have overcome the world.”  John 16:33.

So in the midst of the black bird invasion, the cardinals continued to take advantage of the provision before them, and they were blessed!

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
