I listened and enjoyed hearing Willie on American Idol sing “Circle of Life” from the movie Lion King. I know that life begins and is forever making that circle.
You come into this world as a baby, with nothing of your own. You are nurtured, taught, encouraged, and loved. Eventually, you take your place as a mature, responsible adult.
“Naked a man comes from his mother’s womb, and as he comes, so he departs. He takes nothing from his labor that he can carry in his hand.”—this is so aptly translated, “you can’t take it with you.” Ecclesiastes 5:15.
You enter your world as a Christian the same way—-a mere babe in Christ (1 Corinthians 3:1)—-needing to be nurtured, taught, encouraged, and loved. You should not remain as infants.
As you mature, you can, in turn, teach others, help them to grow, and guide them to be faithful in following Christ. “….Stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:58.
You take nothing from your labor with you, but if your labor is Christ-centered, you can certainly leave the results of your labor behind. This is the real “circle of life.”
Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
