The people of Israel wandered many long years in the desert because of their lack of faith in God’s ability to care for them. They placed their trust in that which they could see and touch and turned their eyes away from God.
In the book of Hebrews we find a warning to prevent us from doing the same thing—turn our eyes from God and toward the enticing world around us.
“Today if you hear God’s voice speaking to you, do not harden your hearts against him, as the people of Israel did when they rebelled against him in the desert.” Hebrews 3:15.
“Speak to each other about these things every day while there is still time, so that none of you will become hardened against God, being blinded by the glamor of sin.” Hebrews 3:13.
History is not about just what has come and gone. It is about lessons learned and mistakes made and victories won.
We must live today by learning from the past and by placing our future in God’s hands
Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
