God morning from The Garden!

In a debate Abraham Lincoln was once accused of being two-faced by his opponent.  He smiled and replied:  “I leave it to the audience. If I had another face, do you think I would wear this one?”

Lincoln fought deep melancholy throughout his life by injecting humor into what could otherwise be a grim situation. He accepted who he was and did not let anyone judge him by comparing him to someone else.

“Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else, for each one should carry his own load” Galatians 6:4.

Just as Lincoln stood tall, you can do the same. When you are tempted to compare, look at Jesus Christ. His example will inspire you to do your very best, and His loving acceptance will comfort you when you fall short of your own expectations.

As long as you carry your own load, you will do the most with what God has given you.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
