In the movie Nemo, the little fish Dory had short term memory loss but she remembered one thing that saved the lives of many caught in the net. She repeated over and over, “Just keep swimming; just keep swimming.”
The scriptures tell us never to give up, instead, “Just keep growing; just keep growing.”
“For when the way is rough, your patience has a chance to grow. So let it grow and don’t try to squirm out of your problems. For when your patience is finally in full bloom, then you will be ready for anything; strong in character, full and complete..” James 1: 3-4. Living Bible.
It takes time to build character. When we try to avoid difficulties in life, we sometimes short-circuit the process. God can turn our hard times into times of learning–times to hold on tight to His love. God never leaves us on our own. Trust God and keep on doing what is right—-and just keep growing!
