Good morning from The Garden!

I choose PATIENCE!

“But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, PATIENCE, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22.

The frustration of a a not-so-active internet, waiting at the doctor’s office, or waiting in line at the grocery store often tries my PATIENCE.  Do you find yourself in these situations?  Everyday life can “push the button” of impatience.  Instead of a calm smile or pleasant conversation,  we can find ourselves restless and nervous. God’s Holy Word lists PATIENCE as one important characteristic to show that The Spirit of God is alive and living in our lives. Whether we are waiting on test results, word about a job, or any other of life’s challenges, we need patience.

God does not work in our timing. What seems like an eternity to us, is but a vapor to our Eternal God.

King David reflects on how God took care of him, but he had to wait patiently.

I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair—,and set my feet on a rock, and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.–” Psalm 40:1-3.

Waiting for God to help us is not easy, and it probably was not easy for David, yet he was rewarded for waiting patiently.

God lifted him out of despair.
God set his feet on a rock which gave him a firm place to stand.
God put a new song of praise in his mouth (a new attitude).

Often God’s blessings cannot be received or appreciated until we go through the trial of waiting. I pray we can all show PATIENCE as we wait.

Have blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
