Good morning from The Garden!

I was reminded this week of the wonderful feeling of friendship.  Two of my best “cousin friends” spent the night with me and we talked and remembered and laughed.  Although the reason for one of the visits was a sad one, the time with each one was special.

Ralph Waldo Emerson states that a friend is one “with whom I can speak my thoughts aloud.” —–This is indeed what we did.  Friendship is a two-way street.

You need a friend who will listen to you and will share feelings and be loyal to you at all times.

But having that special friend actually begins with you.

A man that has friends must show himself friendly.” Proverbs 18:24.

Instead of always wishing that you have friends, you must try first of all to be one.

There are people everywhere who need your friendship. Ask God to reveal them to you and to direct you to help them in a special way.

As you show yourself friendly, you will get your mind off “self” and will be able to recognize the needs of others.

Friendship warms your heart and brings joy to your life.

Have blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
