Since I have gotten older (it happens) and a little less balanced, my children are always telling me to hold their hand when we walk across uneven ground. I know they want to prevent me from falling. Sometimes I think it is unnecessary, but I know it helps steady me and is always a good thing.
“If the Lord delights in a man’s way, he makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.” Psalm 37:24
The person in whom God delights is one who follows God, trusts him, and tries to do his will. God watches over (holds his hand) and makes firm every step that person takes.
The road may be rocky and at times, the journey may be long, but when he slips or takes a wrong turn, the Lord is holding his hand to bring him back.
If God leads the way, the path is steady and firm. Allow God to hold you close and give you guidance before you step out.
Have blessed day!
In Christian love,
