“Behold, children are a gift of the Lord.” Psalm 12. Our special gift Luke William Shufelt was born at 4:15 this morning. We are so in love already with this child.
I am once again reminded of the miracle of child birth.
“You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made….” Psalm 139:13,14.
Luke came into this world kicking and screaming. I’m sure he was not sure of this unknown that he would now face. But in this unknown he found love and warmth and security.
The unknown frightens us all at times. This is why God’s Word tells us that “Faith is being sure of what……. we cannot see…” Hebrews 11:1.
Through faith in a loving God we also find love, warmth, and security to guide us through the unknown—maybe even kicking and screaming.—–
