The good deeds that you do for others may go unnoticed by those around you. They are not done for recognition or reward or even gratitude. They are done to spread the loving act of giving and to show the love of Christ to everyone.
I had an opportunity to stay with my granddaughter Laura Beth for a few days after her baby was born.  I held my little Luke close, and I played with my great granddaughter.  It was such a beautiful time.  But I expected to help out more–to cook meals, etc.  But friends filled that spot for me.  It was wonderful to see different couples come in each night bringing dinner for us and visiting for a short while. Most of the couples had a child Hazel’s age, and I had the pleasure of just watching them play together. Friendship, kindness, and love can be shown in the simplest of ways.
“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him,—-He will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance—-for I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ ” Matthew 25:31a,34,35,36,
You will respond by saying, “When did I do all this? When did I see you, Lord?”
And the answer will be: “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40.
I witnessed this scripture lived through the actions of these young people this week. And I was blessed.
Have blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
