Good morning from The Garden!

There is one fear that is necessary for us to believe in God and to keep His commandments.  This fear does not immobilize us, but instead, motivates us to know God as the ruler of the universe and keeper of all that is around us.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”  Proverbs 9:10.

A wise man fears the Lord.”  Proverbs 14:16.

Now fear the Lord, and serve Him with all faithfulness...”  Joshua 24:14.

This fear of God needs to be nurtured and fed each day.

All other fears are to be faced openly and overcome by the only fear that really matters.

What is your greatest fear?

Is it fear of eternity, fear of the unknown future, fear of living today, fear of losing a loved one, fear of rejection, fear of heights, fear of darkness…….. I could never mention all the fears that creep into each life.

God gives a solution to conquer each fear.  God tells us in His Word to replace our fears with love.  “Whoever lives in love, lives in God”  1 John 4:16.

There is no FEAR in love, but perfect love drives out fear.”  1 John 4:18.

This perfect love heals us and makes our faith strong enough to face the day.

There is an old story of an old Indian teaching the young brave.  He said, “Remember, there are two wolves fighting inside you–good and evil.

The young brave questioned, “Which one will win?”

The old one replied, The one you feed.”

Keep this in mind, “If you feed your fear, then your faith will starve; if you feed your faith, the fear will starve.”

Whatever you feed will survive.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
