What a beautiful sunrise this Thanksgiving morning! If you are not up yet, you may miss it. The clouds are rolling in and it could be a cloudy day. This reminds me that life is like that. One minute it is sunny and carefree and the next hard times roll into our lives.
God is with us through the good and the bad. This is why God’s Word states…..”Give thanks in all circumstances…”1 Thessalonians 5:18. (not for all circumstances)
There are so many scriptures that remind us to give thanks.
“O give thanks unto the Lord for He is good.” Psalm 136:1
“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift..” 2 Corinthians 9:15.
The scripture that wraps up my thoughts this morning is found in Colossians 3:15:
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of the body, you were called to peace. AND JUST BE THANKFUL.” ( I added the ‘just’ because I think that gives it a little extra)
