Good morning from The Garden!

Belief in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ is the very foundation of the Christian faith. This miraculous birth was part of God’s plan for his people to be drawn close to Him and to know that He is the one true God.

The Old Testament prophet Isaiah foretold: “Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel (God with us).” Isaiah 7:14.

Matthew records: “This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about; His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 1:18-22.

Luke records: “In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary—.” Luke 1:26-27.

…and then Matthew adds: “All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: ‘The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel’—-which means, God with us.” Matt. 1:22.

The prophecies of the Old Testament are clearly fulfilled through Jesus Christ in God’s perfect timing.

No more beautiful story has ever been recorded.

No greater love has ever been shown than the love God has for you and for all mankind.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
